THE DAY WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR

About Start -Up Brasil

Start-Up Brasil, a National Startup Acceleration Program, is an initiative of the Brazilian Federal Government, created by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, managed by Softex and partnering with accelerators, to support new technology-based companies: startups.

The program integrates the "TI Maior - Programa Estratégico de Software e Serviços de TI", a national program that bolsters the industry of software and IT services. TI Maior itself is a part of the "Estratégia Nacional para Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação - ENCTI", which establishes Science, Technology and Innovation as the structural axis for the country’s development.

Each cohort of startups go through a 12 month acceleration program where they get access to up to R$ 200,000 (approximately 80k USD), mentorship, educational resources, travel expenses, and access to a Hub in Silicon Valley at RocketSpace. Every year, Start-Up Brasil hosts two public calls for entries: one to select accelerators and another to select the best startups.
